You
You, comes from the old English “thou” and is derived from the French “vous”, meaning “a sign of respect”. With all the respect for you, we have given a try on explaining the words Native and Space. Yet what does Space mean to you? What happens when you experience abdundant, enough or (too) little space? How do you know what your original space is?
Because… it sounds so easy, right?… naturally taking your space, feel grounded to grow, safe and secure to live. Well, sometimes taking up your space is not so easy at all. And that may have all kinds of causes. A very busy and/or stressfull period in your life made you give away your space, your me time and necessary self care. Someone took your space by taking away your moment of choice. Or, experiences from early childhood which may have caused the feeling that you don’t belong here, or the feeling that you don’t have the right to claim your own space. Or, you are the child that was born after a still born brother or sister. Maybe you are the one twin that survived in the womb. And sometimes there is no clear explanation for not feeling (and taking) your natural space.
We are of the opinion, that when you are aware of space (again), your are able to take your natural space. Creating space awareness, and taking space can be done in many ways. An evening with a blacket and a good book, a dancing night at the club, or cuddling with your loved ones. Here, at Native Space, we invite you to discover your own primal space by offering several ways to create space. By practising Flow yoga, doing Qigong, experiencing Restorative Yoga, Breath excercises, Sound Therapy, and more.
